Nutrispa Catering Company comes from the heart of Yulenia Perez. A Hispanic single mother that has turned her passion for healthy foods and balanced lifestyle into a profitable business venture. The company is particularly known for our presentation, menu variation and delicious fresh food delivered daily. The Importance of Healthy Meals to Yulenia has marked the difference in her business, she believes that everyone deserves to have a good balanced diet and meals, with all the right nutrients, made with fresh ingredients and proper hygiene care. Nutrispa strictly emphasizes on serving kids and seniors with the right nutrition – meals that will affect the growth of kids and help seniors maintain a more balance diet.
Before Nutrispa grew to what it is today, we were a weight loss company, dedicated to healthy meals and corporate catering. Searching for other options and programs to expand our services, she came across the opportunity to cater to children. Given birth to her only daughter back in 2012, she was thrilled to open a new division at the company to offer services to schools. As she worked more and more with different centers and sites, she grew attached to the change she could make in the community offering quality and delicious meals for kids and schools.
We began with the aim that all kids deserve to enjoy yummy meals that are prepared fresh from scratch by passionate chefs, with design menus loaded with nutrition and offered at prices that are affordable for all private schools, senior centers and government programs including Miami Dade County summer camps, emergency meals and HMOs meal programs. Behind Nutrispa is a team of members from Chefs to drivers to employees highly dedicated to serving children and now seniors. We have dietitians and nutritionists that work side by side with our quality chefs to prepare recipes that are affordable yet high in quality, delicious and healthy. We believe that our community deserves to have a decent meal every day that caters to their taste and dietary needs, this has always been my goal.
“The desire to build, create, and learn, surpasses my fear. After the initial fear and hurdles of opening a business to pursue my passion and coming so close to failure has given me the biggest life lesson and instead of giving up, I started to develop a deep sense of passion for motivating and educating myself to reach greater heights in the catering business and once again, after my divorce and adversity, I was able to pull through it all and build a successful company.
With the arrival of the horrible Covid-19 pandemic we have learned that there is a different and new way of not only operating but also it has opened doors to a successful new line of business for seniors which I am pursuing and plan on expanding. I am very proud of the accomplishments and changes the company has experienced in the past three years and with certainty we will continue to grow and become one of the biggest catering companies in south Florida.
Every day we feel the same enthusiasm we have felt over the past years, and nothing is more gratifying than finding others who believe in our mission. Our people and culture are our greatest assets and the driving force behind our success and momentum. Our culture is vibrant, authentic, value-driven and something that cannot be imitated. As we continue to bring Nutrispa to new communities throughout the country, we plan on doubling down on our investment in our team. At the end of the day, it is our people who will determine our speed of growth and success as a brand.
